Tracking & Analytics for Shopify Stores

Shopify’s checkout and app ecosystem make clean attribution harder than it looks. We rebuild the data layer, server-side forwarding, and consent wiring so your ad platforms see real purchases — not a fraction of them.

The Problem

Why Shopify Under-Reports Conversions

Shopify’s native pixel and app-based tracking stack was built for simplicity, not measurement accuracy. Checkout runs on a separate domain. Customer events pass through Shopify’s sandboxed pixel before they ever reach GA4 or Meta. Safari’s ITP caps script-set cookies at seven days. Ad blockers stop `gtm.js` from loading on a meaningful share of sessions.

The symptom is always the same: Meta and Google report fewer purchases than Shopify Admin — sometimes dramatically. You increase spend against incomplete data, optimise for the wrong audiences, and cannot reconcile platform revenue with your order export.

Consent makes it worse. A CMP that fires tags before consent, or Consent Mode that is wired only client-side, leaves you either non-compliant or still blind after a user declines marketing cookies. Shopify’s checkout limits what you can change without Shopify Plus customisations — which is exactly why architecture matters more than another app install.
